*photo update

we're back & happier than i had ever imagined..& we started a family..we adopted a snoodle named sophie & she fits in so well with our wild haired family ;) we're feeling so blessed these days & want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the wedding &/or wished us well. being married to my best friend is so much more wonderful than i thought & i'm stoked to continue sharing our little life stories via this blog :)

so i didn't take many photos the day before the wedding or on the day of  because things were so insane. here are the few that  i did take.

i realllly wish i had gotten a photo like this with all my  beauties
our toms, i was so happy we decided to wear them. my boy rocks them like no other :)
our first evening was spent in downtown knox..view from our hotel

from there we headed to asheville, city of my soul! & my sweet husband loved it just as much as me! it was hard to leave. it feels so much like home..we are definitely mountain people.

if you're ever in asheville i would highly recommend double d's coffee & desserts. everything was delicious. plus this bus is stinkin' rad!

& also, the laughing seed cafe (vegetarian) i might love tofu because of that place.

LOFT asheville is my FAVORITE store in the world. all kinds of quirky trinkets. i could live there!

from there we hit wilmington & went beach bum & my hair went a bit more wild than usual so it looks like i might be rocking dreads..but i'm not..maybe someday ;)

comic huntin' with my boy all honeymoon long
6th street bridge..at the beginning of every one tree hill episode :)

beach painting, i've already painted over one of them..ha

                                                              my sleeping beauty, haha

& lastly our little sophie. the grooviest dog ever. sorry guys, it's true!

all in all we're a pretty happy little family..love ya'll!

relentless.

hello beauties..here i am again..late. i planned to post a few weeks ago..fail :) we are 9 days from the wedding & i feel like a zombie. let me just tell you, i am not the perfect little bride that most women are. i'm 9 days from my wedding i & can't remember the last time i brushed my hair. (is that any different than any other week?) i stay up late thinking of everything needing to be done & i wake up late unable to do the things that need to be done..haha. i honestly pictured myself having it all together, but hey..chaos makes things more interesting :)
soo onto answer everyone's question.."where are you going to live?" i love explaining this because it is SO GOD! a few months ago i posted that we did not have a place to live. well we found a place..then lost it as well. the first time i was a bit panicked. the second time i knew God had something for us. my brother found out an acquaintance of his had a small house for rent, but was not advertising..just waiting on God to send the right people. & of course my brother told him about us, we got in contact with him & went & looked at the place the next day. we pulled in & i knew we were going to be living there (yes it is just a rental, but most likely a long time rental.) i, for as long as i can remember, have wanted to live in an older home with some character. in fact, i had just recently been praying for something just as that. when we got inside the house matthew had his doubts.."it's old..it's dated..it needs work.." were his thoughts. ..mine? "honey, we can make this so rad! it has so much character!" after a bit of thought we both knew it was going to be our first place together. since then we have been working like mad to get it fixed up. & it's been a blast. our friends have blessed us in such big ways by helping out & honestly..i feel so close to each person that has helped us out & hope that they know that our home is theirs as well..anytime :) we have a big yard for a volleyball net(YES!) & my boy is happy that there is ALREADY a basketball goal there..(see this house was totally for us:) & we will most definitely be having a few gardens going. oh, & we have a wrap around porch. glorious right?! i plan on doing some before & after shots when things slow down, so stay tuned for that :)

**if you are praying for something & feel hopeless..just don't relent....rely on faith. it is literally the most wonderful feeling knowing that the God of the universe holds you in his hands. why fret?! (it's hard, i know:)
if you'd like..come to us..we'll pray with you..or for you..or encourage you..or feed you..or something good like that :)
